As we look at abundance with mindful awareness, we may experience obstacles (limiting beliefs, limited thinking, worthiness) that prevent us from receiving the abundance we wish for.
In this 8-week process, we learn to transform obstacles into opportunities, and prepare ourselves to receive abundance.
Week 1: Notice Abundance
Witness examples of abundance around you. Take a few moments to reflect on the abundance that already exists in your life.
Week 2: Set a Sankalpa
Ask yourself what you need more of in your life. Then, create a positive intention (sankalpa) around the abundance you wish to receive. Formulate your sankalpa in the positive present tense, in 8 words or less. Mentally or verbally repeat it throughout the day. In this way, plant the seeds of intention.
Week 3: Tendencies of the Mind
Recognize if the mind is caught in the limited thinking of lack or negative thoughts regarding abundance. If negative thinking is there, shift the negative thoughts and expectations towards the unlimited potential of abundance. Feed the mind what you wish to attract and commit to this vision.
Week 4: Choices
Observe those choices, beliefs and actions that block the abundance you wish to receive and instead, invite new choices and beliefs to support abundance. Recognize what choices are limiting and consciously chose those that help to realize your new goals.
Week 5: Possibilities
See the possibilities of the abundance you wish to manifest by seeing it already manifested around you. Seek out uplifting and inspirational stories, connect to optimistic, like-minded people and know that the abundance you seek is already within you.
Week 6: Giving and Receiving
Take time to acknowledge the flow of giving and receiving. Give what you wish to receive!
Week 7: Reflection
Reflect on the transformations you’ve experienced so far—large or small. What shifts around abundance have you noticed in your life? Contemplate and write about your observations and thoughts.
Week 8: Attitude of Gratitude
Rejoice! Celebrate your dedication to the AEY abundance challenges to circulate greater abundance in your life. This week, take time in deep gratitude for the abundance that surrounds you and thanking people (including you!!) who have contributed to this. Hold the intention to live in abundance.
